Summer Strawberry Facial Mask

This time of year we're thinking of strawberries! Juicy, ripe, red strawberries that are not only oh so good for eating but also make an excellent skin softening agent. They naturally contain salicylic acid, which helps rid the skin of dead cells allowing your face to rehydrate more easily. Here is a quick and simple summer mask that will leave your face feeling soft and absolutely glowing!

1/2 cup fresh strawberries
2 TBS plain yogurt (with live cultures)
1 TBS cornstarch
1 TBS honey
6 drops lavender essential oil

Wash strawberries well and pat dry. Mash strawberries with a fork or place in a food processor until completely crushed. Add together with yogurt, cornstarch and honey and mix to form a paste. Add essential oil and mix well. Apply a thin layer over face and neck area, careful to avoid eyes. Relax for 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Gently pat face dry. This is especially refreshing if mask is refrigerated before use.
