Shipping Questions

We've received several emails recently regarding shipping methods and thought it might be worth sharing the answers here as well.

Question: I want to order some samples only but don't really need them to ship priority mail. Is there another way to ship?

Answer: Absolutely! Shipping costs can really run up an order total quickly and we understand that. We are happy to offer First Class shipping for small orders such as soap samples. You'll see the option available as long as your total order weight is 13 ounces or less. Your order will ship well-wrapped in a bubble padded envelope. Once your order weight goes over 13 ounces though, the First Class shipping option will no longer display in your shopping cart, and you will see Priority Mail as your only postal choice.

Question: Why do you use Priority Mail? Parcel Post is so much cheaper?

Answer: We use Priority Mail mainly because of the quicker delivery times. This method also has delivery confirmation which, although it is not actually a real-time tracking method, it does provide a shipping and delivery record should it become necessary to track down a parcel. It's one of the fastest, most economical ways to get your products to you as quickly as possible. Bath products don't like traveling on hot delivery trucks any longer than necessary. And if you're like us when we order something online, we want it yesterday.

Question: How do you figure shipping?

Answer: The shipping for your order is based on the total weight of your package. This includes the box and packaging material necessary to wrap your items securely. Nobody wants a box of damaged goodies. The shopping cart does a pretty accurate job with determining your shipping costs and options. Unfortunately, because bath products tend to be heavy, it is not unusual to have the shipping cost fall in the $7-10 range. That's why we are happy to offer you several options for shipping including free UPS ground shipping for orders of $100 or more. If the cart ever overestimates your shipping by $1 or more we will refund you the difference. If it underestimates the cost, consider that a gift from us. ;)
